We are a group of Christians from Arizona, Nevada and Utah who are teaming up with UCB Pacific Partners, a non-profit, non-denominational, evangelical Christian organization, to support them with their evangelism and discipleship ministry to the people of Tonga and the South Pacific Islands.

The members of the group who will be going to Tonga on this trip are: Orin Wilkins, Sid and Marie Sims, Julie Gardner, Kelly Beck, Ginny Medina, Dianne Ronnow, Katrina Sanford (from Las Vegas), and Justin Sanford (from Provo, UT).

We want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity that the Lord has presented to us. From August 2 through August 16 God has offered us the chance to go to the Kingdom of Tonga with a group from our church, Calvary Chapel of Kingman, AZ. This will hopefully be a life changing experience for the people we come in contact with, as well as ourselves.

On this 14-day missions trip we will be reaching out and spreading the gospel to the Tongan people, while also connecting with the people there and learning about their culture. While we are there we will be ministering to the people of Tonga through drama, music, street witnessing, home visits and basic medical supplies for handicapped people, and possibly some construction work as well. We will also be helping local ministries with their Christian radio station in any way that we are needed. Through this we hope to help the local missionaries in their efforts to win many souls to the Lord Jesus Christ.

While God has opened up a door for us to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways.

First, you can help pray for our mission trip group. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Tonga. Pray that people will see the love of Jesus through us and will be touched in some way. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time we need to raise $2,000 each to attend this trip, and that is quite a challenge!
